It's a myth! Unless of course a person is allergic to chicken or squash.

Weird skin problem?

After pulling a plaster off a cut on my hand, these weird red lumps appeared where the plaster was. I didnt pull it off it fell off itself so it cannot be because of that. I've never had a reaction like this before. Any advice?
Weird skin problem?
Hi loads of people are allergic to plasters me incuded i never get elastoplast as this is the worse to give a rash, its because of the glue that sticks to the skin. It also depends on how long the plaster has been on and if it has got wet and the dried again as if its a really good plaster it will stick no matter wet or dry.

My fiance is alleriic to plasters he works in a garage and had a deep cut on his hand so the nurse put a plaster on it, Obvosly one of the best makes, he then was working in rubber gloves he come home took the glove of and took his plasters of to let some air get to the cut and his hand had itchy lumps all other. He went to the doctors and he gave him some cream. If you havent allowed the air to get to the skin when you have had this plaster on this is why the bumps have appeared. Put some antiseptic cream on or vaseline and if it doesnt go down the doctor will give you smething,
Weird skin problem?
Depends on the make of plaster, some cause a reaction and some don't. Find the one that is right for you.
Reply:My daughter gets that. It is a reaction to the adhesive. It might take a little while to clear, but it will.
Reply:It fell off itself? how long was it on?? you've probably picked up an infection in the wound clean it with an antiseptic or if it's swollen see your doc' for anti'biotics.
Reply:thats an allergic reaction to the plaster...it should go away soon now that the plaster has been removed
Reply:Just a reaction to the adhesive on the plaster, it will go away. Try a hypoallergenic plaster next time and try not to scratch! It doesn't necessarily mean you will have more allergy problems.

If it continues then you may have a slight infection in the skin around the orignal cut, you are unlikely to need antibiotics for this though. You can always show it to a good pharmacist if you are unsure.
Reply:sounds like a mild allergic reaction to something in the plaster / adhesive..... u can get hypo allergenic plasters from most chemists... try those in future. my sister had exactly the same problem until she changed brands.

Weird skin problem?

A few days ago, I woke up and along half of my jaw line and on the side of my face, I had a weird dark mark like a foundation line or something. Just to confirm, it definitely wasn't a foundation line! =)

Anyway, I ignored it but it has spread right across my jaw line and gone dry and like, scaly, it feels horrible. Its soooo obvious and it looks really ugly.

If it matters, all I use on my face is a face wash daily, but I always moisturize after.

Anyone ever got anything like this or have any advice?
Weird skin problem?
Ask around about good dermatologists in your area. What you have sounds like a severe form of eczema (allergic rash). It can be caused by irritants, possibly even harsh detergents or cleansing substances in the face wash you use.I would stop using it for now to see if you can rule that out as the problem. In the mean time look at your local drug store in the shampoo section for something called Nizoral. If they carry it you should find it near the medicated shampoos like T-gel,Selsun Blue,Etc (comes in a white and blue box that says Nizoral on it).

Even if you don't have a scaling scalp problem this stuff seems to work well on eczema on other parts of the body as well. When you use it lather up the parts of your face where the eczema is happening, let it sit for a few minutes and then rinse.Repeat that over the next 4 or 5 days and if it is eczema you should see a significant improvement.Once it does fade away then you just use the Nizoral off and on if and when it ever comes back.If this doesn't work then it might not be eczema and you'll have to have a dermatologist find out whats causing the rash.I come from a family where severe allergies are pretty common so we've had to try many things to find something that works.Hope it works out for you because I know how it feels when something like this happens in an area such as the face where it can't be concealed and you don't even want to leave the house.Good luck hun let me know if it helped if you do decide to give this a try.
Weird skin problem?
Yikes -- do you have a GP you can see? Maybe s/he could refer you to a skin specialist.
Reply:Some people have dark spots on their face. I was told they are called liver spots and are nothing to be alarmed over. Have you been in the sun lately? The sun can also cause dark spots on the face. I don't think this is uncommon, but I would ask a doctor if I was concern about it. That is the only way to be sure.
Reply:i used to have really dry legs and they always looked scaly. after that, i used lotion on my legs and moisterizing cream. just apply lotion and cream after every shower. make sure to apply regularly in the winter since it is colder and easier to lose moisture

Help? Skin problem! What should i use?

I have a lot of zits on my uper arm and shoulders

it isn't quite acme, but it is still embarrassing

How do i get rid of it?
Help? Skin problem! What should i use?
Yes, exfoliate is a good first step. Use a good body wash. Follwoed by a body scrub 3 times a week. Use a good lotion after applying. Remember that facial acne treatments can be used on those areas too. Give it a few weeks, if it doesnt clear up, go see your doctor for more information. This is a good first step thoguh. Good Luck

Emergency...skin problem?

ok every few weeks, i keep getting these rashes, they're extremely itchy and i find them on my stomach, on my head, behind my ears, on my legs and arms. the doctor prescribed me some eurax cream but it didn't seem to work, what do you think is wrong with me and what should i do to treat it.
Emergency...skin problem?
Sounds like a local eczema or psoriasis, and if you are like me, probably linked to raised stress levels. I don't think creams will ever be the answer but they can provide temporary relief. I solve these little episodes by talking to myself and my body, recognise that stress has a lot to answer for ..... and that seems to help. Stress is always internally driven ... recognise that and you have your first step to recovery .... the skin is simply an external indicator that something is wrong. Good luck!
Emergency...skin problem?
It could be an alergic reaction, if you've changed washing powder, or showergel or deoderant or something like that. I've recently had a reaction to daz washing powder even thoguh i've used it for years. I think it must have been changed.
Reply:As it happens every few weeks I assume that you have times when you are free of the rash. Try keeping a diary, make notes of the things you eat etc you may find a common denominator.
Reply:Hi there,

There are so many skin problems nowdays so it would be difficult to say what it could be. If you click the link below you can maybe match your symptoms and get more of an idea. Keep your skin well moisturised with a non scented moisturiser in the meantime.

Hope this helps.

Reply:It is hard to say without seeing it, maybe it is time to get a second doctor to look at it.
Reply:you should go and tell the doctor that you saw and tell him/her that it is not working and it is spreading ever were on your body and demand that he/she should give you something that does work and tell him/her that you don't want something that is full of crap that doesn't work.
Reply:u need information about skin http://www.skincarefairy.com
Reply:If they are also scaling and especially they appear on your knees, do go and visit a dermatologist.
Reply:do not know what the rashes look like . Very carefully look at your skin and see if there are any thread like things stuck in it. You can also get from a Radio Shack .. a handheld 30x lighted microscope . you can use this to look at your skin and see if there are any different colored fiber like objects in the rash or other areas. If any of those are true ( Lil bitty threads ). Go to Morgellons.org and match symptoms .. not much a doc can do for that but loads of what a doc will do is useless. I got in remission from it you can email me if that's the case.
Reply:I don't think a definite diagnosis is possible using answers. Generally however fluctuant itchy rashes are usually allergic in origin. You could try oral antihistamines in the mean time, if things don't settle you will need to see your GP again.

I have this skin problem suddenly and it's like the skin is cut and dry on my forehead ive tried everything

I have this skin problem suddenly and it's like the skin is cut and dry on my forehead ive tried everything
Try Vasaline. I use it whenever my acne scrubs burn my skin and it really works. It hydrates the skin and it'll peel away the dead skin without hurting you.
I have this skin problem suddenly and it's like the skin is cut and dry on my forehead ive tried everything
it'll block your pores, but try vaseline, it healed my hands when i was little. they'd get so dry the skin would crack. if that doesn't work, see a dermatologist. You could have psoraisis or eczema, which are skin rashes that can make your skin rough and patchy.

My skin problem?

My legs and arms have bumps all over. It was like that all my life and no it is not a disease. How caould i get rid of them?

Thanks~
My skin problem?
i have that too. it's a dry skin condition. i can't remember what the dermatologist called it. but if you go to a dermatologist they can give you a special cream if it's really bad. but if it isn't then you can buy this stuff called am-lactin and put it on after taking a shower. and in the shower you should use a loofa type thing and scrub where the bumps are with a body wash.

i hope that helped :)

go to your family doctor to see what the problem is because no one on Yahoo Answers can answer that for you not tryingg to be smart, but speaking the truth they'll give you so many different answers. please don't get offended

Reply:I have the same thing but only with my arms I went to the doctor about it

she gave me something for it, ask doctor
Reply:ask your doctor and if they are warts get them lasered, froze, burned, cut off
Reply:I have a condition called keratosis pilaris which causes all these bumps on my upper arms and legs. It's generally harmless, not painful, but really unattractive. I don't know if you have the same thing, but the only way to find out is to go to a doctor (preferably a dermatologist) and let them check you out.

There are some treatments that work better than others for this particular conditions, and different treatments work better for different individuals. The bummer about this condition (if this is indeed what you have) is that there isn't a cure for it, so you pretty much have to fight it with exfoliation and moisturization for the rest of your life.

What causes it is that keratin builds up in your hair follicles and your skin doesn't shed it the way that it does for normal skin.

Good luck. I hope you find out what's the matter.

Unusual Skin Problem?

Hello, i consider myself one of the lucky ones. Throughout high school until now i have never gotten acne. Then in early July i went to Europe and started to get small bumps on the top two corners of my forehead.

When i cam back in August it was full blown acne on both corners of my forehead. It is very unusual beacuase i NEVER get acne. And it is only on the 2 corners of my forehead.

I changed bed sheets, shampoo, lotion, and started using proative and then stopped using it.

Any ideas of what to do and why it just all of a sudden showed up?
Unusual Skin Problem?
Acne that appears for the first time in adulthood should be examined by a dermatologist who can investigate the underlying cause. Some causes of adult acne are:

Medication. Some medications that can induce acne include anabolic steroids (sometimes used illegally by athletes to “bulk up”), some anti-epileptic medications, the anti-tuberculosis drugs isoniazid and rifampin, lithium and iodine-containing medications.

Chronic physical pressure on the skin. Chafing from the straps of a backpack or tucking a violin between the jaw and chin can cause chronic physical pressure on the skin and may induce a condition known as acne mechanica.

Chlorinated industrial chemicals. These may induce the occupational skin disorder known as chloracne.

Metabolic conditions. Changes in the hormonal balance, such as those brought about by pregnancy, menstruation or hormonal abnormalities can induce acne.

It is also important to know that some lesions which appear to be acne are not acne at all. One skin condition that resembles acne is folliculitis, which occurs when the hair follicles become infected and inflamed. Folliculitis requires different treatment than acne.

Acne that occurs in adulthood may be difficult to treat if there are multiple recurrences. Some patients with severe recurrent acne have undergone repeated courses of treatment with the potent systemic drug isotretinoin.

Since adult acne may be difficult to treat, acne that appears for the first time in adulthood should be examined and treated by a dermatologist.

If it's always on the two corners of your forehead, maybe it's the fact that you sweat around your forehead. More dirt get clogged up near the hairline...so that's probably it. Try going to your doctor and get some treatment for it!
Reply:Were you wearing a hat? Maybe the band of the hat was

sweaty, encouraging bacteria to bloom. How bout sunscreen on your forehead? Or have you started using different hair products?
Reply:Because you always sweat at the coners of your forhead the sweat changes and produce bacteria that couse that infection,so i suggest you go see the doctor.

Reply:It would probably go away on its own, to prevent any bacterial infections or more spotting, it is usually advisable to see your GP ( general practioner for treatment), but apart from that it tends to go away on its own accord and there is no guarenteed cure.

They are annoying i know...i finally got rid of them last year
Reply:I ve had them for over 4 years . They are mostly on my back but i do have some on my face. Don't worry, its not a sign that you have oily skin or bad hygeine.

You can try clearasil, but i think it contains alcohol.

Facial Skins Problems?

Im 17, I dont have acne like I did when I was like 12 and 13, but I do still get it every so often and it packs a punch. Anyone know of anyway to fix acne without needing a doctors visit to having to buy those godawful smelling acne prodcuts from the store?

The three step proactive formula or the same called acne-free at costco. Check out double rinsing your laundry and using a hypoallergenic detergent like All free or Amway detergents, But especially change your pillow case every day and use white cotten ones, always wash your hands before washing your face, AND take a B complex time release vitamin or fresh brewer's yeast is the best if you can get used to the taste. And a glass of carrot juice once or twice a week. Eat a lot of fresh fruits and vegetables and whole grains.Don't lean your face on your palms or touch your face much treat it like a flower . Gently pat dry don't rub. And use a pore tightening mask once a week.

I tried Proactiv but found it pricy. You can get it cheap on eBay though. My other and better solution is the Neutrogena acne line of products. Just Googlge it. They're acne wash cleared out a two year crazy outbreak I had. What a nightmare. Glad it's over and good luck. By the way, it has the same ingredients as Proactiv.
Reply:Put peroxide on your face daily.
Reply:Oh gawd no! Don't put peroxide on your face. It causes free radical damage and thus, premature aging.

My skin problem.my pimplesmarks?

i visited a dermatologist for my pimples and got 2 tubes of medication. one's in a brown coloured tube called Stieva-A Cream 0.025%. it says it's a "topical acne treatment" and contains tretinoin cream, which i think is the part that fades away the pimple marks. the other is in a white tube and is called Mycin (clindamycin gel 1%), a T3 product. i think it's the thing that prevents pimples and treats pimples. they're really effective. but if you don't want or can't find them, you should just try products with salicylic acid in them. a lot of articles i've read says that it's good for pimples, although, i'm not sure if it's good for treating pimples or pimple marks...

A little beyond a skin problem...?

Is there a way that I can have my brain and spinal cord transported into a younger clone of myself? I know that cloning is not legal, but its not a problem in other countries. I will need a new body in the next 50 years so I need to get the clone on the way and at least 15 before I get transplanted into it. Reply:okay..this is what i do:

-(if its ready to be popped)pop it.

-clean it up with hydrogen peroxide(not alcohol, it dries up your skin)

-put neosporin on it and leave it like that for a few hours.

-then dab the neosporin of and put on 'clean%26amp;clear's invisible pimple treatment.'

this works!
Reply:One of the latest treatments is laser for severe types of acne and operates by destroying the bacteria that cause acne. Lasers used in mild acne treatments like simple blackheads and whiteheads work on the serum producing glands to open up the follicle to release the serum trapped inside by heating the upper layer and reducing the size of the oil gland. This affects the upper portion of the skin, but without harming the deeper layers of the skin and able to heal without any problem.

Itchy skin problem?
Accutane is a retinoid medication, related chemically to Vitamin A. It reduces the amount of oil that is released by the skin, and increases the rate at which skin renews.

Dog Skin Problem; HELP?

I don't know what else to do with my border collie male about 4 years old. He chews and scratches like crazy hes losing his hair and he has odor. Ive changed to natural dog food nothing. i bath him in medicated shampoo, he chews the following day. I give him benedril and allegery medicine, nothing, hes been to the vet. still chews. WHAT ELSE CAN I DO?
Dog Skin Problem; HELP?
he could have food allergies, environmental allergies, inhaled allergies or all of the above.

start by doing a food trial. feed a food that does not contain chicken, beef, lamb, fish, corn, wheat, or soy. instead feed one that contains either venison, duck, rabbit, or bison. feed the new diet for at least 8 weeks to see if there is any improvement. do not give any treats!

you also might want to consider having him allergy tested.

also, make sure he is on a good flea control (advantage or frontline).
Dog Skin Problem; HELP?
Have you checked for fleas?

What food are you giving him? A lot of dog foods contain grain, and some dogs might be allergic to certain proteins (i.e. chicken, beef, etc)

Can you give us some more info?
Reply:First of all let me be sure. have you tried Canidae dog food? if not please do try it. Also if he hasn't gotten it already give him his monthly Frontline dose, or whatever flea/tick med you use to be sure it's not fleas.
Reply:Has the vet tested him for a thyroid condition?
Reply:I agree with BOB. It sounds like some type of allergy...but that is a wide open area...ALLERGIES...the medicated shampoo may not be the right kind of medication...try this. Go to your vet and ask for a bottle of Malaseb. Follow the directions. It is great for allergies. You may have to bathe the dog in it for 2-3x weekly in order to get the problem under control. For the odor purchase a conditioner to help also. Skin allergies itch and they also burn the dog...the Malaseb will help calm and soothe...so get a conditioner that you can leave in. Try Fresh %26amp; Clean with Aloe...that will also help soothe as well as make him smell good. You can leave it on after the bathe...but make sure that you follow the directions on the shampoo....leave it on the dog for appx. 20 minutes then rinse....and MAKE certain you rinse all of it...then rinse some more.....then use the conditioner. Your vet will probalby not have this brand. Go to petsmart to purchase it or buy it online at pet edge.com

Once this is under control you should only have to bathe the dog once weekly....and if you are lucky....every other week depending on when he starts to scratch again.
Reply:Get you vet to do a skin scraping for demadectic mange, what it is is a little mite that lives under the skin, don't worry you cant catch it because you already have it, so do I, so do my dogs, we all have it, what happens is that if the dogs immunity is down for some reason, the mite breeds out of control. causing hair loss, chewing and an awful odour. It is quite easy to treat, with an ivomectin based product from your vet.

It could also be a flea allergy, food allergy, grass allergy etc...

CB is right Malaseb is a fantasic shampoo, worth a try
Reply:It is probably a food allergy. Just changing food to a natural food will not help in most cases. It has to be a food made specifically for dogs with allergies. Also, I had the same problem with my dog and I brought her to a holistic vet. She was able to tell exactly what my dog should be eating and is also treating her with Chinese Medicine. I highly recommend it. For a holistic vet finder go to this page:

http://www.holisticvetlist.com/

Also, for more information on natural pet foods go to this page:

http://www.peaceful-organic-planet.com/n...
Reply:It sounds like he has allergies, the vet can test for it.

Is his skin dry and flaky? When my dog was itching like crazy (no fleas or parasites), our vet suggested we give him fish oil with his food (the kind from the health food store for humans). I give him 2 drops of wild salmon oil a day and he has stopped itching and his coat is much more shiny and lustrous.

Serious skin problem?

i'm graduating on wednesday so in 2 days.

i have this red rash underneath my eye should i use hydro cortisone 2.5%?

and i have this scab i peeled off and it was bloody which i cleaned out with alchohol,(with a cotton swab), how many times should i put alchohol on it so i can make it a scab again? and i just started using this exfiolating clean%26amp;clear scrub instead of my old clean%26amp;clear bene. peroxide 10% wash which worked good....im getting more breakouts is it the scrub (does not say to help acne) or my 10% bene. peroxide clearisal tinted cream?
Serious skin problem?
I am not a doctor but it sounds as if your are irritating your skin. You should not scrub your skin--that in its self will cause break outs. You most likely need a good moisturizer (no more alcohol on your skin)

On a side note--visine diluted with water will help bleach out the redness. 5drops per cup of water and gently apply to reddish area.

Heelp!! skin problem..?

well.. ok.. im having this thing that whenever i wash my face, dryness strikes, after a while, its all oily! what am i supposed to do? does this show a sign of anything serious??
Heelp!! skin problem..?
It just sounds like you have combination skin, which is very common. Clean %26amp; Clear and Nutrogena (amongst other brands of skincare products) have different types of face wash for people with combination skin, so look into those. ALso, if you're using any type of spot medication (directly on trouble areas), don't use it on the dry part of your face and put lotion on that area as well, but not on the oily part. This is very normal and just something that might be temporary or permanent...only time will tell.
Heelp!! skin problem..?
Your skin becomes oily as a defense against dryness. Use a moisturizer after cleansing.

Dog/skin problem PLEASE HELP!?

I have a year old Lab/Shar pei mix. He has been chewing and scratching all his hair off and making huge open sores. I took him to the vet, they ran test, gave him some antibiotics, only to find nothing and then charge me $400. I can not afford to pay the vet $400 again, for no results. Not to mention the fact that they won't allow me to make payments! I don't know what to do. I have tried everything! I have tried natural dog foods, using Gold bond for the itching, milder shampoos, tea tree oil, benedril among other things that have been suggested to me. Do you have any suggestions? I need help fast! I feel so bad for him, and he has to be miserable.
Dog/skin problem PLEASE HELP!?
Sounds like hot spots, they would actually be hot to the touch. You can try Avoderm shampoo then rinse dog after bathing in a capfull of Alpha-Keri oil mixed into a gallon of warm water, let the rinse stay on him do not wash it off, it will condition his skin and make him feel better giving him some temporary relief. Go to the clinic or good pet store, find a good hot spot med, take dog with you, most people who own pet stores have tons of experience and are happy to help you.

It could be that he is allergic to one flea. One flea would do that to my Kuvasz. All my pets are on monthly care for fleas. If you can't afford the vet again, try the best helpful and wise place that deals with animals like yours.

Good luck and tell us how he does.
Dog/skin problem PLEASE HELP!?
l if you are the one on the pic why will your dog care about his skin ???
Reply:Did they run allergy tests? You can take him to a specialist and have them try to pin point the allergy. Does he have fleas?Does his food have corn in it- if so find one w/o? Maybe try a meat free food.
Reply:I have the same problem except i haven't gone to the vet yet.

Reply:I have a dog with itchy skin and we use a humidifier in the winter time. We also have tried drizzling olive oil over his dog food, but I don't know how well that one worked, the humidifier seems to have the best results. He still scratches but not as bad. Hope that helps!!
Reply:your vet probably didn't do a good job examining your dog.please don't go back to him anymore(plus the fact that he don't want to allow you to make payment)

did the vet make a microscopic analysis of the skin tissue? if not go to another vet and explain what procedure your previous vet did and suggest microscopic analysis of skin tissue.

your dog probably have endocrine (hormonal) dermatitis

----endocrine (hormonal) dermatitis. This may have been caused by Cushing鈥檚 disease, hypothyroidism, sex hormone imbalance, or alopecia X, a strange disease where hair loss occurs but no specific cause can be found. Because there were no clinical signs and the preoperative blood testing was normal, we diagnosed Joey with alopecia X. This can be treated with mitotane or melatonin.

I know somebody who's dog had that. The owner elected melatonin plus a few other supplements (fatty acids and antioxidants)
Reply:well for one the reason your vet won't let you make payments is because of the other people out there that didn't pay their bills, blame them for that not the vet. i mean do you get to make payments at the grocery store? you can apply for carecredit they are a credit card for your pet's medical needs.

as for the skin, did you try all of those things in a short period, that could be the problem right there. it sounds like you either need to get a second opinion from another vet, and have the first vet fax over your records so bloodwork results will be available to them. but i would highly reccomend seeing a veterinary dermatologist, they are going to be your best remedy for your little itchball. good luck to you. poor thing, has to be miserable!

sharpei's tend to have very bad skin conditions anyway. and you need to see someone who knows about that. it sounds like the vet tested for endocrine problems with the bloodwork. so no need to repeat that if not necessary.

and stop badmouthing the vet for not accepting payments, i mean really why should they, don't they deserve to get paid or their staff? does your human dr. accept payments? grocery store, gas stations, etc....why is the vet always the bad one because they have bills to pay too.
Reply:Your poor pup.

What tests did the vet run, that would be of help.

How often are you bathing him? To much bathing can cause dry itchy skin. Generally dogs only need to be bathed once every six months unless obviously dirty. Between baths daily brushing keeps them groomed. Frequent bathing will strip the dog's coat of its natural oils causing the dry itchy skin. If he has folds like shar pei's, simply wipe them out at least every other day with a damp washcloth, no soaps, just plain water.

If he doesn't have skin infection, which can be secondary to dry itchy skin, then you should have him tested for allergies.

Dogs can be allergic to many things. Ingredients in their food, your perfume, cleaners, grass, etc.

It is a very rare dog that is allergic to meat protein, so I don't recommend going the non meat route. Often times its corn or another filler in the food (if its a food related allergy) that causes the problem. You should switch to a high quality food with no fillers, I'll give some information on finding high quality foods, and raw diets as well. Raw diets can work wonders for dogs with allergies, just be sure you do your research first.

I know you said you've tried all natural foods, but you need to keep in mind it can take 6-8 weeks to see changes from a change in food. So when you switch give it at least 8 weeks to start to see a change.

Now this is probably going to be the oddest thing you've ever heard, but its worked many times for me. I don't even remember where I heard it was so long ago now. To help with the itching put a 100% cotton t-shirt on him. It worked with my foot chewer, and obviously the shirt didn't cover his feet. Its worth a try, t-shirts are cheap. But remember if it does work its just a bandaid while you find a cure.

Good luck with your poor itchy pup.

Nothing you find at a grocery store is going to be a good food. High quality foods can be found at large pet store chains, or online. A couple of foods I like are Nutro Natural, Innova, and Cannidae.

There are other high quality dog foods. Here's how to spot them:

A high quality food will have little or no fillers such as corn, wheat or soy. These aren't very digestable for dogs, and are common food related allergens. Since you were seeing corn meal in the first few ingredients, those are not high quality foods. Foods list ingredients by content, with the ingredient it contains most of at the top.

A high quality food will not contain BHT, BHA or Ethoxyquin, these are all chemical preservatives that have been linked to cancer.

A high quality food will not contain by-products of any kind. Meat meals are ok as long as the source of the meat is listed, such as Chicken Meal.

A high quality diet should have meat as at least the first ingredient., and be made from human grade ingredients. Foods that don't use human grade ingredients often get their ingredients from less than desirable sources, such as meat from animals that were diseased, or euthanized.

There is another diet option other than dog food. Some people choose to feed a raw diet. This involves feeding the dog raw meaty bones and organ meat. However it is not as simple as throwing a couple chicken bones in a bowl everyday. If you wish to feed this type of diet, do lots and lots of research first. Switching to this diet without knowing what your doing can lead to nutritional problems for your dog. I'll give you some links as a starting point in research if you are interested in this type of diet.

What's Really In Pet Food

Reply:he has a allergy to something, try slowly introducing a new food to him and see if this helps, use mild/puppy anti-bacterial shampoo when bathing him (not more than 3 times a year)too much bathing of a dog dry's out the natural oils in his skin or coat, and regularly exercise him daily as much as you can both stand, groom him gently and keep his bedding regularly washed and clean.also get a friend or relative to spray the places(not bedding or near his food)that he sits at in the house with a good brand flea-insecticide killer that is for furniture and carpets only(not the dog)while u and the dog are out of the house(drying time) do not use any flea/tick products on him or his coat whilst he is behaving this way it could make the situation worst.trial and error with a bit of planning and risk assesment before trying something new to see if it helps the animal out is the best thing for him/her until u get to the bottom of this.

My mother has skin problem. She has itch and bleb on the skin in the morning and evening.?

It makes her feel uneasy everyday. What is it? we have consulted doctors. But up to now, no satisfactory solutions have come out. She feels well for a period and then becomes wrose soon.
My mother has skin problem. She has itch and bleb on the skin in the morning and evening.?
Your mom might have come into contact with some allergen, the specific timings point to it. Seeing a dermatologist is imperative. It might take a while to break the cycle. She may have to be on an antihistamine and a steroid perhaps, the doses of which will be tapered as she improves. It IS is a long drawn process and your mom has to be patient and follow strictly the regimen. Apart from purely derm perspective, she may have some systemic problem which needs to be ruled out by tests. Then again, the timings (morning and evening) are indicative of some allergen being the toxic element.
My mother has skin problem. She has itch and bleb on the skin in the morning and evening.?
WOW...she may not be consulting the right doctors. Try dermatologists or ask the family doctor to run a series of test. Skin problems like that can indicate many things and it sounds like the doctors need to run some blood work and find out what is causing the problem

She may be having some type of a contact allergy with something OR she may be allergic to something that she is consuming as well. Maybe she should try seeing an allergist as well. They can run a series of tests and see if she is allergic to anything that would be causing this problem

It sounds to me like she is scratching in her sleep because she can feel the itching.

Stained skin can take a while to go away.....sometimes you have to just wait it out and continue washing your skin daily until the stains are gone

To get pregnant you must have sex on a day that her eggs are being released.

After the 3rd day from the day that menses started put a thermometer into her mouth and check your body temperature every morning before she start turning in bed. The best time is at about 4 a.m. Maintain a chart. You will find that on one day the body temperature drops from 1/2 degree to one degree. This is the day that her eggs are being released. If you want her to get pregnant this is the day that you must have sex.

After having sex she must stay in bed for about 30 mins with her knees bent up so that the sperms will not pour out - to enable them to travel up.

You must save your sperms in the testacles for at least 5 days before sex to enable them to mature well to do their job.

My dog has some skin problem.?

Well this has been going on with her for a while now and we've taken her to 4 different vets and none of the medications have been working for her so I came here.

ok so my dog is a full breed labrador retriver she has always has ear poblems they constanly get fill of blood and he hot and red and she itches then alot but heres the real problem.

she has some kind of rash right under her neck and all on her upper part of her body its crusty and hard and yellowish and theres no fur there and she always is scratching it she's has 3 surgerys already on her ears but I don't know what to do anymore.help?
My dog has some skin problem.?
Wait- has the dog been seen by a vet for her skin issue or just her ear issues?

If the vet hasn't seen her skin issue, it needs to be seen immediately to make sure it isn't mange.

Does she have fleas or mites? If infested badly, it can cause loss of fur and scabs.

Does she swim in a pool? Chlorine dries dogs skin out and can cause severe irritation.

If she hasn't seen a vet for her skin, she needs to very soon.

EDIT: I highly suggest you take her to more than just that one vet because others vets may specialize more in skin conditions in dogs. Ask around or look online to see if there is a vet that specializes in it. Please see a couple more vets before deciding to do something drastic. I hope she gets better :)
My dog has some skin problem.?
thiz happend to my dog its fly biting them they make them wher ther ears are red and bloody it scard me to really bad. Just buy sum fly mite stuff at yew local walmart or a general store or summin. Wher i got mine
Reply:have they done a skin scraping for mites? i think its called demiodosis? my dog got these mites on her nose and it got really red and swollen, we took her in right away before it got really bad, but apparently some get it so bad that it takes over the entire muzzle. worth looking into. i'd go in and ask for a skin scrapinng if she hasnt had it done already
Reply:Would suggest to dip your pet in a dip called LYM dip that can be purchased at the site below. Also give your pet about 1/3 teaspoon of the liquid CORN oil shortening 1 daily. This will help the dry skin and stop the itching. It will also bring out the coat beautifully.

Reply:shave the area. she sounds like she has a hot spot which is just a bad skin rash. shave her so it's open to the air, then put vitamin e cream, or something like neosporin on it. i'm suprised the meds haven't worked. did they give her steroids?
Reply:I say try changing her food.... it could help vets often fail to diagnose food allergies. Labs have ALOT of ear problems and skin problems in general because of their breeding. They are very prone to food allergies and other issues. I suggest switching to a food such as Natural Balance Duck and Potato etc anything without corn or chicken in it... a food that has completely different ingredients than what her current food is. If that is part of the problem you should see improvement in her skin/ears in a month or so. My dog has chronic ear problems (she is part lab) and food allergies were a factor in causing them. Also check out this website for information about treatment and symptoms of possible causes of your dogs condition.. it may help you find out what to encourage a vet to look into.

PS dont let the vet sell you one of their foods they are crap! if anything look into canidae, Wellness, Natural balance etc. Look for alternative protein and grain free foods alot of allergies are due to corn, wheat, soy, chicken etc all the common dog food ingredients. Vet diets are more expensive and not as good as others.

More about ear problems... http://www.marvistavet.com/html/ear_infe...

I wouldnt put the dog down at all, a simple food change could help her ALOT. Try it you have nothing to lose. Also just as a question did ANY of the vets suggest food allergies as a possible cause?
Reply:How old is your lab? Your dog could have some skin allergies. They have to be exposed for one complete season and then they show up the next time that season rolls around.

I know this can be expensive, but you could have the dog tested for allergies. We had a lab with severe skin allergies, but once diagnosed, we were able to see a specialist and get the problem under control. I would do some research on vets that specialize in skin allergies and head in that direction. In the mean time, vitamin e cream on the rash might help. You might also want to give your dog a fish oil capsule every day. My lab takes them and his skin is soft and it controls the dander.

Hope this helps! Good luck.
Reply:the skin problem might be an alergy
Reply:I am trying the Nzymes treatment for my dog, Skin problems are hard to diagnose, so what do we have to lose?
Reply:my dog has a similar ear problem and the same skin problem since u already went to the vet and it didnt work give your dog an oatmeal bath or u can get a professional oatmeal bath it gives the skin moisture and will stop the itching its worth a try since ur thinking of putting ur dog down and its not that much money and its alll natural but whatver u do dont give her no more baths with any kind of flea shampoo that hurts there skin
Reply:Have they checked for allergies???

WHat about it?

I got the same problem this summer. I went to 6 doctors, none of which could diagnose it/ or I got 4 different diagnoses. Most wanted to put me on hormones. I did go on them, had no improvement, and refused to take higher doses (why would I mess up my body like that?)

Basically they all tell you "I'm prescribing this, but you will come back". All they do is not help you on purpose, or help just enough for you to have to come back, because that way they can get paid from your insurance. I hate american doctors with passion. Maybe there are exceptions, but I have not met any so far. They never diagnose your problem.

I just stopped using all my cosmetics and switched to baby lotion and baby body wash and shampoo. My problem went away, but I still occasionally get those tiny white spots and the skin there is dry and itchy. But it's like nothing compared to what I had this summer, so I just hope it's going to go away.

Hi Emily,

I'm not sure if you're asking a question or making a statement.

Anyway, I think you are describing a fungal skin condition, I think is tinea versicolour. Antibiotics will not treat this, but a topical fungicide such as Pevryl foaming solution should work. If not, then an oral fungicide such as Lamasil tablets would work, though this should be a last resort only, as the tablets have side effects on many people.

Afetr treatment, the skin will still appear white for a while until the surrounding skin fades to the same colour or you tan up the white bits.

This condition usually looks worse when you have a tan.

Westie Skin Problem?

My Westie has a history of dermatitis, primarily on her back and on her vulva. While not totally gone, we've gotten it under control. I thought she was doing really well until a few minutes ago I noticed her tail had a bald spot and it looked like she had some dermatitis there.

Obviously, I plan on taking her to the vet as soon as I can get it, but is there anything I can do for her now? Luckily she doesn't seem to be in pain or itchy.

I think I am going to wash her tail with her medicated shampoo and put on a topical anti histamine.

She eats very high quality, holistic, food. Plenty of viatmins and flax seed.

What else can I do for her?

I have a westie too and she has skin problems of her own. I think washing her tail w/ medicated shampoo and applying topical anti-histamines are great ideas. I can't think of anything else that you should do for her. I think you are already a pro.

Westie Skin Problem?
It's unfortunate, but Westies are known for their chronic skin problems. I'm glad to see that you have her on a good dog food. Have you ever had her allergy tested? It is a possibility that she is allergic to something in the food, or to additional treats that she might get (such as wheat products). However, you may just end up with that prescription shampoo from your vet with chlorhexidine, mitaconazole, or ketaconazole in it. Regular bathing every three to four weeks and making sure that you follow the instructions on the shampoo bottle will help reduce the skin problems. I've seen great success with this in some, but not all, Westies. I think you are doing very well with her. Talk to your vet about allergies and maybe a daily dose of antihistamine such as Benadryl. Good luck!
Westie Skin Problem?
Sounds like a hot spot. Neosporin or Polysporin is good to put on it. Most importantly you must keep your dog from licking at the spot.
Reply:Westies get so many skin problems don't they. Is it an allergy? What meds is she on at the moment?

I think if she isn't itching and it doesn't seem to be bothering her then you should try not to worry about it until you take her to the vets. If you wash her anyway with a medicated shampoo then it might help. Antihistamines only help itching, so if you think she is then go for it. I would be wary of putting anything else on before your vet has a chance to look at it (this kind of stuff is difficult to do online).

Your vets can also give you a soothing skin cream for times like this.

Good luck!

OMG Skin Problem or hygiene??? how do u get rid of this??

my sister is in high school and she gets reaaaalllly HEAVY PERIODS,( i havent had mine yet!!)she lives in san diego and its really hot there, so when she sits down with all of her pads ( she doesnt like tampons) and she isnt allowed to go to the bathroom she ends up listening to lectures in hot sticky wet pads and she gets this pimple like things around her butt (EEWWW) i need her to get rid of this before she borrows my bikini, how should she get rid of this, BECAUSE ITS GROSSIN ME OUT AND EWWWW!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!Oh and there not sores or anything like and STD!!!!!!!
OMG Skin Problem or hygiene??? how do u get rid of this??
It could be just a rash as in like a nappy rash, because of not being able to change her pad when necessary.. She should get a note sent to the school to say that she is allowed to go and change her pads when necessary. Tell her to get herself some nappy rash cream and apply to the pimple like things. If that doesn't clear it up she should go and see her doctor.
OMG Skin Problem or hygiene??? how do u get rid of this??
It sounds like a bit of an allergic reaction to the pad. Maybe she should try a different brand or maybe a smaller one that doesn't quite reach back so far. Either way, if she's going to still borrow your bikini, just wash it first before you wear it again.
Reply:doesn't like tampons? LOL, sounds to me like she doesn't like using pads.. tell her to use tampons!
Reply:first of all, a bikini is like underwear and no two people should wear each others underwear even if they are sisters... tell her that you don't feel comfortable sharing something like that with her ( think of it like this -you wouldn't wash your vagina with the same towel as she washed hers with would you) no i don't think so ... remember your health is very important
Reply:Thats gross...I've never heard of anything like that before. I'm in high school and I've not been able to change my pads for a long time and that's never happened. Tell her to go to the doctors, it could be another problem thats not related to the pads. Either way, the doctor will tell her what to do to get rid of it.

This is a yeast infection. You need wash the area well with a mild soap and water and dry it well. Use an antifungal cream like jock itch, athletes foot or yeast infection cream or powder and try put some gauze in there once in a while to prevent skin on skin.
Abdominal skin problem?
Will it ever come back? What causes them? Report It

Reply:it is an irritated infection from the heat =wash gently every day and throughout the day put powder there to keep it dry ,so it doesn't smell =good luck

What brand of makeup is best for oily, mid-20s, and constantly acne prone skin?

I also have pretty visible laugh lines vertically on each side of my mouth and the creased wrinkle starting just above the middle of my eyebrows. Basically, I have every skin problem that would be a good candidate for microdermabrasion. Acne, wrinkles, and some acne scarring on the cheeks. Large pores too. I want to do micro, but really want to know what brand of makeup is healthiest for me so I can look and feel good.

Skin problem , Need help !?

I used an hair removing cream on the cheek bone area to get rid of the unwanted hairs , after using it , eventhough the hairs are gone but it left brown spots on my cheekbone on the bothsides, it burns when i feel it or apply a little water. How do i get rid of these spots ?

Name of the cream - Nair.

P.S- All the suggestions are welcomed , I'll be thankful.
Skin problem , Need help !?
I suggest stop using nair and consult your doctor about other possible creams for hair removal. However they have nair for sensitive skin.

For the rash, I suggest removing any of the left over nair (if there is any left) by washing it gently with warm water and soap. Then buy some polysporin (I'm from canada, so I'm not sure if it is available where you are) or some diaper rash cream, or some Vaseline.
Skin problem , Need help !?
It sounds like the cream chemically burned your skin. Was this product specifically for facial hair? Contact the manufacturer for further advice. Until then, treat it like any other burn with a topical burn cream. The brown spots will fade (hopefully!) in time.
Reply:I would contact your doctor right away, I've never heard of Nair doing that to your skin. Maybe you had an allergic reaction.

Skin Problem?

i have this red lines

i've had them since i was born

i hate them

it makes look like i have acne when i really dont

how much would it cost to get rid of tem

is it painful

is it hard

* 32 minutes ag
Skin Problem?
You possibly could have them lasered off. You would need to see a dermatologist or a technologist that does cosmetic laser. The cost varies. It isn't hard %26amp; it may be a little uncomfortable but is not really painful. A dermatologist might give you a prescription for a topical anesthetic to use prior to the procedure to lessen the discomfort.

when i shave i always get these 'rashes' sort of like sball bumps and it really itches abnd i dont know what to put on to make it go away. it's ok when i shave in the shower but when i'm in a hurry and quickly do it then i get it. what can i put on to make it go away?

Merry Christmas!!
Skin problem?
What are you using on your legs when you shave? If you're using a shaving cream or mild soap suds when shaving in the shower, but not at other times, you may be getting razor burn. Make sure your skin is wet and use a woman's shaving cream even if you're not showering. If you do have razor burn, you can use some Eucerin cream to moisturize your skin and help with the itching and burning. It doesn't have any dyes, fragrances or alcohols that some of the other brands do. Hope that helps.

Skin problem?
Hi,

It is called Urticaria and is very common. It occurs when your skin comes into contact with something that your body may have an allergy to. It is also called hives (nettle rash).

You can take antihistamine to calm down a sudden flare up and the welts should disappear fairly quickly.

If the condition persists and gets worse then you need to be allergy tested to determine what sets it off.

Anything and everything can cause a reaction. I am a long term sufferer and I react to extreme heat/cold, strong winds, elastic against my skin, feathers, aspirin.

Usually once sensitised to something you will be allergic to it for life and then just need to avoid it if you can.

Hope this helps.

JH
Reply:its infection if the scratch is from iron thing then its must be irony burn
Reply:You are experiencing the medical symptom called "dermatographism" - or "skin writing" - this condition means that your skin is more sensitive than normal skin. This condition could mean that you have "skin asthma" wherein a person's skin reacts in an exaggerated manner to injury including simple scratching. This is quite common and can be manged. I advise that you see a physician or better perhaps a dermatologist for this condition.

Skin problem please help?

i use face cream every day but i still get dry spots on my face near my eyebrows. how can i stop this? is there a mask i can make at home?
Skin problem please help?
I get these too! What I do is.. I have an eyebrow brush and I just brush it off. and then after doing this put on your face cream to these spots. It might take a few times doing this to get them to go away and if they don't go away see your doctor and he/she should recommend the right treatment for you.

Sometimes when you wash your face your not getting all of the makeup or your face cream off which will cause these spots.

If it is right in your eyebrow then it's possible that it's just caked in makeup or creamer.

I hope this helps and good luck!
Skin problem please help?
Please see a dermatologist and make sure you do not have any kind of skin problem. after that, you can put somemelted butter on the area couple of times a day and wash it off after half an hour. Your skin should be glowing.
Reply:Masks are meant to control oil!! Not fix dry skin!

Put on some hydrating gel.

I love Mary Kay's stuff.

You can feel the water soaking in your skin.

If you can't get that, then use some deep moisturizer on your dry spots.

Omnibalm works great too.

Good luck!

Skin problem-pilsbury bumps????

My son is 12 and has bumps on his left arm and one huge one on his chest. his doctor referred to it as "pillsbury" bumps becasue they resemble biscuits. Some are hard, some are squishy and they itch and hurt. he is very self conciuos of them. he had a severe case of chicken pox in november and these showed up after that. some look like warts or white heads. is there any remedy for this? The doc said that it is viral and will come and go.
Skin problem-pilsbury bumps????
I'd ask your idiot doctor for the medical term for your sons condition %26amp; then you'll be able to do some research on possible treatments.

Skin problem?

i woke up this morning and i had these pimples and some flat swellings on my face. i only usually get one or two zits and never a flat swelling, now i have a ton on my forehead and nose! could this be an allergic reaction? and do u have any idea how to get rid of it? school is almost here, and i don't wanna look like this!
Skin problem?
it could be an allergic reaction if you are using any type of new products or even ate something for the first time. get a doctor to look at it. they can tell you what it is and what to do about it.
Skin problem?
Try gettting some acne cream. There is a good kind of acne from mary kay. It is called acne treatment gel. It only takes a day or so to dry them up. It awesome!

Skin problem on my lab? HELP!?

I just got a chocolate lab three weeks ago. He is 15 months old and was fixed four days before I got him. He has puppy acne and they said to just hold a cold wash cloth on it a few times a day and it should clear up. My real question is he did have a few small bumps on his stomach, legs, butt area, and just 3 tiny ones on his nose and face. To explain these bumps they are red and after a day they get a white crusty scab over them. You can easily pull the scab off with just rubbing it a little with your finger. I have a apt. to see our vet on Monday but dont want to wait that long if its going to get worse. It does not seem to bother him to much, he licks his pubic area due to the hair growing back in after being nutered but other then that nothing different from my other lab. Does anyone have a answer to what this is? There are no sores on his ears, top of his body, feet, and only the few on his head at all. The main area is stomach, butt area, and few on legs. HELP PLEASE!
Skin problem on my lab? HELP!?
It sounds like canine herpes because it is on his tummy and genitalia. Since he is neutered, you won't have to worry about it too much, just don't let him infect other dogs. Herpes kills small puppies and fetuses. The outbreak will eventually heal up on its own, but he will carry the virus his whole life. Just keep him away from pregnant dogs and very small puppies. Do a websearch for Canine Herpes and you will see what the blisters look like.

I have never heard of puppy acne at all. Did they just make that up?
Skin problem on my lab? HELP!?
Cut everything!!
Reply:Just keep doing what your doing with the cold wash cloths etc. Try not to touch the scabs with your fingers or anything and just let your dog be. You have a vet appointment Monday and since it's not bothering your dog I don't think you have much to worry about.

Skin problem?

I have recently been getting these sort of reddy pink circular shapes on my hands. They don't itch but they feel quite tough. I do suffer from exma, could it be that or should I go to the doctor? I have 1 on my thumb, 2 on my wrist and 1 big 1 on the palm of my hand. Thanks
Skin problem?
It sound very much like psriosis, but if you suffer from eczema it could well be that. I suffer from psriosis and have done for the last 10 years I have had hospital treatment steroid creams etc etc etc basically I tried everything and it all worked for a month or so but then it was if I became immune to what I was using and it stopped working. Only about 12 months ago I found an amazing company called Forever Living Products I now drink Aloe vera gel 30ml a day and apply Aloe gelly or aloe propolis to my skin daily I have now gone from being 70% covered in dry scaley skin to being almost perfect skin well not quite but I acn wear a short skirt again now without wearing a pair of thights let alone 4 pairs which is what I used to have to do. May be worth a try they offer a 60 day money back guarantee so you have nothing to loose it will cost you approx the cost of a capucchino a day.

sounds like eczema or psoriasis
Reply:Go to the doctor and get something for them.
Reply:I have a skin problem called "Ichthyosis Vulgaris" and I use a water based emollient called "Double Base" which is very useful for dry skin like eczema.

I did have a rash type thing like what you are describing during summer last year and I used some other creams prescribed by the doctor. But maybe you should use some creams like "Double Base" and if it doesn't clear go to a General Practitioner.

It may be that the reddy/pink shapes are wringworm, which can be treated by antibiotics (Which incidently I have also had. And I'm only 16) =D

- Eczema is believed to be a type of allergic reaction.

- Eczema is common in people with asthma, hay fever, and other allergies.

- Adults whose hands or feet are often exposed to irritating substances may often have eczema on those areas.

Some possible triggers of ECZEMA:

- Cold, dry weather

- Hot, humid weather, woolen clothing

- Animal dander, house dust, tobacco smoke, emotional stress and diet

Symptoms of ECZEMA

- Itching, dryness of the skin and a red, raised rash.

- Tiny blisters may appear which break and crust over (these lesions may be prone to infection).

- In children, eczema appears most often on the face, scalp, buttocks, thighs, and torso.

- In adults, eczema most commonly affects the neck, inside the elbows, and backs of the knees.

Treatment of ECZEMA

- Eczema is a chronic disease that cannot be cured. Long intervals without skin eruptions may be possible with general dry skin care and medical treatment if necessary.

- Brief daily baths or showers with lukewarm water (not hot) should be taken and a mild soap should be used. (Specific products may be recommended by a physician or pharmacist.)

- Hot tubs and long, hot showers should be avoided.

- After bathing, the skin should be patted dry and a moisturizer applied.

- A moisturizer should be applied at least twice a day all year round. Multiple daily applications may be necessary during periods of active disease. Petroleum jelly should not be used. (Specific products may be recommended by a physician or pharmacist.)

- A cool-mist humidifier may be used in the bedroom. The humidifier should be kept clean at all times.

- Clothing and bedding should be washed in a mild detergent.

- For children and infants, keep their nails trimmed short to minimize damage from scratching.

- Topical coal tar preparations, oral antihistamines and topical corticosteroids (short term) may all be used to treat the symptoms of the eczema rash without a prescription. (Specific products may be recommended by a physician or pharmacist.)

- Stronger medications may be prescribed and oral corticosteroids may be prescribed as a last resort.

Skin problem!! HELP!?

My face aways breaks out...i cant seem to clear it up! ive tried everything in stores and proactive and clinique but i still break out. i even got on birth control hoping it would help and it did a little but i need something more...any suggestions?
Skin problem!! HELP!?
Alrite.... try this... i got this info fmr another site..

Not only does apple cider vinegar helps with acnes, they'll help reduce acne scars also. However, it smells... This is how I use it. In the evening, I washed my face real good with one of those cleansing towlette, I use Oil of Olay but that doesn't make any difference. I premix in a bottle one part vinegar to two part water (I have sensitive skin so I can't use full strength, which I don't recommend using anyway unless you're sure your skin can take it). Then while watching tv or whatever, I wet a cotton ball with the mixture and apply it all over my face, let dry, repeat, let dry, then go to sleep. It smells so I don't recommend using it in the day time.

Benzoid peroxide works in curing acne because it kills bacteria, but it slow your skin's ability to recover itself. Tea tree oil serve the same purpose in killing bacteria but it has no restriction on your skin. This is how I use it. In the morning, I wash my face with a gentle cleanser, I use the positively radiant line by Aveeno, then I wet a cotton pad (I use those round cotton pad) with water then drop 3 drops of tea tree oils directly on the pad (it's rather drying at first so I would start with one then increase as your skin adjust) then I wipe the pad all over my face, let dry while I change my clothes, etc... After 5 to 10 minutes, apply light moisturizer with spf of at least 15 and head out, once again I use the positively radiant line by Aveeno but any brands will be fine, just be sure it's gentle cleanser, %26amp; light moisturizer

Try not to wear makeup if at all possible.

Once a week, steam your face for 5 minutes to make your pore sweat out anything that's not suppose to be there.

Once a week, wear a mud mask to soak up excess sebum, oil, %26amp; dirt. I love love the rare earth masque by Kieh's, but any other brand will be just fine

Drink plenty of water throughout the day

Get 8 hrs of sleep

Be sure you go regularly

Good luck..;)
Skin problem!! HELP!?
Shea butter cream works wonders, and can be found at any health food store. Also, Vitamin E is great - weather it's cream or just straight Vitamin E, it gets rid of any skin problem within days. Look into it :)
Reply:i use sever acne it works very well you can get it at wal-mart its about 25 dollars if that doesent work ask you dermatologist to prescribe you something
Reply:Since Proactiv isn't working for you, try getting Clearasil at a near by store. Also if you want a homemade acne solution.Get an aspirin and crush it then add water.

Try not to stress too much. Every time you get a good workout and are dripped in sweat. Wash your face right away, because if you let the sweat dry it will make your skin oily and the pores will close.

Never pick your acne because that actually spreads the bacteria inside the acne and helps form new ones. If you do "pop" a pimple you should use Neutrogena: Rapid Clear- Acne eliminating gel. It works!!!

NEVER EVER use more than I'd say two products to wash your face. Unless you're using soap and water. Because the chemicals will dry out your skin.

Good luck

:]
Reply:Just wash ur face in the Morning and at Night before bed... also use a scrub and a light moisturizer... Since you break out easy you need a light moisturizer... also only use the moisturizer in the dry spots and places that u need it like under ur eyes...
Reply:here's what i use:

if you want a natural remedy that won't irritate your face but is still VERY effective, MIX:

1or2 tbsp. oatmeal

1/2 mashed banana

1 egg white

**To get the egg white, crack open the egg and drain out the whites. mix together with a fork and keep in mind that this IS messy!!

Other store-bought products:

1. St. Ives Apricot Face Wash

2. Dove Deep Moisture Facial Cream (if your skin is dry, too)

3. Almay Blemish Healer (comes in a yellow tube)

**be sure your using OIL-FREE products. also i find salycilic acid works better than benzoyl peroxide because benzoyl peroxide is too drying.
Reply:Avoid using any kind of scented body lotions on your face (i.e. Victoria's Secret, Bath and Body works, etc.) and avoid putting your hands in your face too often throughout the day. If you have tried everything in stores to no avail you may need to see a dermatologist. There is an oral medication for really severe acne called Accutane. It works really well (my little sister uses it), but you can only get it with a prescription. I hope this helps you!
Reply:try this: every night before u go to bed, apply a couple of drops of olive oil on ur face...olive oil is best for face of any kind for any prob.it also mosturises ur skin...it softens and keeps ur skin tone complex too.....and egg whites makes ur face skin soft...these are the natural help for skins....
