hmm is it true?
Is chlorine good for the skin?
No, chlorine is bad for your skin. It dries it out very quickly. Whenever you get done swimming you should immediatly take a shower, and put on some moisturizing cream to keep the moisture in your skin. (it is also bad to shave immediatly after swimmin, because your legs will be VERY dry)
Is chlorine good for the skin?
I've got a pretty bad case of eczema and I swam year-round for 10 years and my dermatologist always told me I should quit because chlorine dries out your skin really quickly. Of course, it depends on the pool and how much chlorine is actually in the water. Once I was at a water park and their chlorine levels were so high my skin got so dry it started to flake when i got out! So I would say, no it isn't good for your skin. If you want to clean your skin, use an exfoliator. Chlorine in its natural state is a poisonous gas, so it only makes sense that it won't be fantastic for you in any form. hope that helps!
Reply:no its bad it dries it out so use lotion and stuff
Reply:No. In most cases, chlorine makes your skin dry and crusty and very itchy.
Reply:haha i WISH! i play water polo so i ALWAYS have chlorine on my skin. even if i haven't swam in like 2 weeks i still smell like chlorine. haha
Reply:no chlorine is not good for your skin. it dries out your skin so if you swim make sure you moisturise after every session.

it is also really hard to get rid of the smell. i can train in the morning, use a shower gel and arrive at school and people will tell me i stink of swimming pool

on the plus side i do find that it helps my spots because it dries them up
Reply:You should not use chlorine. Its a chemical. It wont help you to improve skin. If you have any problems go to http://pinchurl.com/skin
