Skin problem with dry skin & pimples?

I have lived in a humid place for quite a while, and now I have moved to California. It is very dry here and my skin is drying up. My eyebags are getting worse , but at the same time my pimples are not getting better (if anything , they are getting worse!) What should I do?

Here are things I do:

1) Wash my face twice a day, once without Cetaphil in the morning and once with Cetaphil in the afternoon

2) Apply moisturizing water after morning cleasing

3) Apply sunblock 15 minutes before sun exposure

4) Apply moisturing water %26amp; lotion after night cleansing

What to do?? Please help ! I'm turning from Beauty into the Beast overnight!

Well a new living condition can do a few things, one climate, and another is the stress and pressure of living in a new environment. But I have to ask what is moisturizing water? Its good that you don't wash your face with a cleanser in the AM but one thing to consider is your products. Does your face feel extremely dry after you wash it? If so your cleanser is too harsh for you skin and you should switch to a different or more gentle cleanser. It could be your sunblock as well, it may not be doing the trick in this dry condition verses your previous humid condition.

So your applying moisturizer and lotion as night? Thats seems like a bit much. When you have acne less is more. Sometime washing and applying to much product can irriate your skin. I realy recommend what I use as an acne sufferer and a Californian, is a product by Zia Naturals its an aloe and citrus wash for acne. As well they sell an herbal gel for acne that wont be heavy and break you out all. I love both products. Below is the link to the website. Don't stress about the price, think about the price of your happiness and the relief of stress from have less acne. The products are all natural so this factors into the price. DRINK A TON OF WATER. If this doesn't help see a doctor and get a dermatologist. Thats your best bet. GOOD LUCK.

Stop applying all the moisturizer - that's what makes me break out a lot. I've been doing some experimenting, and have found that taking a lot of Vitamins A and E really help make the skin smooth and clear. Seriously, what you put in your body has just as much of an effect as what you put on it. Try to get a sunscreen that's oil-free, as that is a major pore-clogger.

Here are some articles I found to be extremely useful in clearing up skin:

1. Aspirin Mask - Exfoliates while clearing acne.

2. Egg White Mask - It may sound gross, but this always gets my skin very smooth, and the following day, my pimples are usually half the size.

3. Electric Toothbrush Exfoliation - This will help prevent pimples from forming later on, but remember to be gentle!

I've just started using this skincare regiment, so it's not tried and tested yet, but it's left my skin feeling really great. It's worth a shot:

1) In the morning, rinse the accumulated oil off your face and gently scrub with Clearasil Ultra Acne Clearing Scrub (or similar product).

2) Don't over wash your face - this tends to sap the natural moisture out of your skin. It's similar to licking your lips in that the more you do it, the drier they become. Washing your face two or three times a day should be plenty.

3) Tone your face once a day, preferably in the evenings. It's good to do this after a scrub or mask, when your pores are closed and smooth.

4) Apply a product made for specific acne spots - I prefer one containing either salycilic acid or benzoil peroxide - to dry out the area. Don't apply these products to your entire face, or you'll damage your skin.

5) Apply a light, oil-free moisturizer where needed. If you're prone to breakouts, apply it first to very dry areas, such as the nose or eyelids, and gradually work it around the face from night to night. If breakouts should occur, stop using any moisturizer there, as it will only clog pores further.

6) Lastly, if a pimple has a dry, peeling rim around it from continuous product use, start using the product only once a day or every other day. Exfoliate gently to remove the peeling skin - never moisturize, as that may cause the pimple to last longer.

And DON'T pick/rub/pop your pimples any more than is necessary. The only time you should be excessively touching a zit is when you're washing or exfoliating your face. Constant irritation may cause the pus inside the pimple to spread to other areas of your face, causing further breakouts.

Hope this helps,
