The left side of my face is mildly swollen and very hot to touch.
It doesn't itch or burn and I've already taken benedryl to counteract a possible allergic reaction. I haven't used or eaten anything new. What could be causing this ?

Reply:Oh dear! I do not have medical training, but you COULD be describing 'cellulitis'-that'd a bacterial infection characterised by hot, red, swollen area-esp.the cheek like yours. Hmmn..this can be quite serious so I would definately get to the doctors as soon as possible. Even if it's not cellulitis, it's still better to get proper attention. Hope it clears up, Krysh
Reply:the heat specifies that it is probably a bacterial infection or maybe even staph! You really need to get into the doctor! If I were you I would not take the benedryl because it can actually sometimes make things like that worse!
