I've recently lost some weight due to cutting down my caloric intake, consuming more fiber and taking daily vitamins, drinking more water and discontinuing the birth control. It's not a great deal of weight(not sure how much really) but the weight loss was rapid and mainly in concentrated areas. On my stomach, breasts, lower back, inner and outer arms and inner thighs I have excessive skin. It's empty and hangs there and is pretty unattractive. To make matters worse, my weight fluctuates and I have lost weight before so this isn't the first time--meaning that my skin had been stretched out before. Now I've been going to the tanning bed and the extra skin seems to tan differently--it gets pretty tan and EXTRA dry. The last time I had the extra skin problem it took 2 years to get everything to firm back up. I'm getting married in 5 weeks and need to know how to speed the process up so I don't look gross in my wedding dress!
What can I do to tighten up excessive skin?
If you only have 5 weeks, that's not even enough time for miracle plastic surgery or heavy dermatological treatments. I have 2 ideas for you:
find a skin firming lotion at the store that you use religiously!
Speak to a plastic surgeon to see what type of options you may have that will not cause scaring and that you might have 4 weeks or less to recover from. But keep your budget in mind. The more desperate you are, the more it might cost.
And remember that your wedding might be captured in pictures forever but be yourself! You already lost the weight, I'm sure you look stunning!
Good luck!
